Where do they find the time? Especially now that I am running a start up the idea of adding anything, and I mean anything to my overflowing plate of activities, strikes fear into my heart and may border on the insane.

Vringo: The "World" speaks

There was a real buzz about Vringo at the World Mobile Congress, and I am not just referring to those of us that had a few too many on Las Ramblas Monday night.

First there was the "wow" of it all. A show packed with innovation and repeatedly we kept hearing how our product went where no other product seemed capable. The deepest social interaction and the richest phone experience, where the voice call and the video sharing happened all at once. Eyes popped open.

Back from Barcelona

I am writing this on the plane back from 3GSM (excuse me, MWC) in Barcelona. I'm exhausted, but also exhilarated and, dare I use the cliché: I feel empowered.

Vringo began as a dream in 2005 -- A dream that we could fill the empty screen that stared at us every time we dialed a call on our cell phones. By early 2007 -- 3GSM last year -- we started to fulfill this dream. Vringo ran on Nokia N70 and N73 handsets. It let a select few users share video ringtones and ringback tones with each other. We were off to a running start; the first Vringos were bon.

JavaOne 2008 (May 6-9): How Vringo Gots Its Java Groove Back

When people talk about sunny California, they always seem to forget to mention the cold, windy parts of the state like the Bay Area. Hopping off the plane after our 18-hour journey, we were met with the usual blustery San Fran gusts coming off the bay. But luckily for us, we were in for a warm welcome at this year's JavaOne held in the city's downtown at Moscone Center.

Vringo Channel Launch

The Vringo Channel launch is one of the most exciting things that has happened at Vringo in the two years I've been here. Video ringtones are a cool way to personalize your phone, but it’s SO much cooler to get a new video ringtone daily without having to do anything. Even though I'm not American I love watching the U.S. presidential elections! So, I can think of nothing better than my company having this new video ringtone technology and enabling all of us to be part of the most important democratic process in the World. Go to www.vringo.com/channels pick your candidate and subscribe to his channel to get a new campaign clip, every day.

We recently listed our product on some of the major mobile portals like Mosh and GetJar. The consumer response to our product has been very warm. It looks like our cideo ringtones and software are a big hit! We continue to see consumers world wide including countries like India, all over Europe, and the United States enjoy Vringo. It looks like our in game advertising model for Vringo has also been a great success. As the summer slowly comes to an end (how sad) we will again start looking for more partners to work with. Here is to a great Vringo summer!

The Vringo widget

The Vringo widget is here and it does more for a video website than we could have ever imagined.
