Vringo is a cool new way to introduce yourself to your friends when you call them. With Vringo, you share videos by choosing what video ringtone plays on your buddies' handset when you call them.
Vringo works by sending the content you pick to your buddies' handsets. This all happens automatically and in the background. Neither you nor your buddies need to do anything.
When you call someone from your Vringo buddy list, the Vringo application on your handsets will recognize that you two are buddies and will play the appropriate clip.
How much does Vringo cost? >>
The Vringo application doesn't cost anything. The application itself is free and we don't charge anything for using it.
Licensed content is usually not free of course, sorry. If the clip you've chosen requires payment, it'll be indicated before you are charged. But we do make every effort to bring the costs of licensed content down.
Depending on what data plan you have with your carrier, you may incur some costs there. There are no premium data charges to use Vringo though.
How do I install Vringo? >>
Sign up for Vringo at our website. You'll be asked for your mobile number. We'll then send a message directly to your handset with a clickable link you can follow. When you do that our system will recognize you and identify your phone, making sure you get the correct application.
What kind of plan do I need to have use Vringo? >>
You need to be on a data plan. Vringos are uploaded and downloaded with a data connection. The better your connection and your plan, the better the application works.
I can't click on the link in the SMS that I got from Vringo. What Shall I do? >>
Depending on your phone, there are a few ways to open the link in the installation SMS that was sent to you by Vringo:
• Option 1 - The URL will be automatically highlighted. You just have to click it.
• Option 2 - Open the Options menu using the soft-key and look for an option such as "Open link" or "Go to".
• Option 3 - Open the Options menu using the soft-key and look for an option such as "Use Details".
• Option 4 - Open the phone's web browser and go to m.vringo.com. Enter your Vringo Name, password, and the PIN code included in the SMS.
Note: The pin code included in the SMS is required. If you use option 3, please write down the pin code so you can easily use it once you get to the Vringo Login page in your browser.
Which phone should I have to use Vringo? >>
Vringo can be used on ANY Internet-Enabled Mobile phone!
However, Vringo comes in two flavors.
• Vringo Mobile Browser version - Vringo Mobile Browser version lets you enjoy the Vringo using your phones' browser. You will still be able to view vringos, download vringo videotones, and send vringos to your buddies.
• Vringo Client version - installed client, automatic video ringtones, and real-time vringo synchronization.

What is the PIN number used for? >>
The PIN is used to identify a specific Vringo user and allows only this user to be granted access to some sensitive data such as "buddy list". Here is how it works:
After you register on www.vringo.com, an SMS is sent to your handset.
Note: since you are not the originator of the SMS, you are not charged for receiving an SMS.

How do I recover / change my password? >>
To obtain your Vringo account password do the following:
• Go to http://www.vringo.com
• Click the "Forgot Password" located at the middle left side of the screen.
• Type in your mobile phone number and an SMS will be sent to you with your username and a new password.
To change your Vringo account password do the following:
• Go to http://www.vringo.com
• Login to your Vringo account using you mobile phone number and password
• Click "Profile"
• Enter new password and click "Submit"
How do I resend myself Vringo installation SMS? >>
• Click http://www.vringo.com
• Type in the following credentials:
• UN: <Username>
• PWD: <Vringo password>
• Click "Profile" at the top left side of the screen.
• At the "Edit User Details" screen, click the Send Vringo client to my phone located at the bottom of the screen.
Note: An SMS will be sent to the phone number that you have provided during registration to the Vringo. You can re-enter your mobile number, by clicking on the Change Phone Number button in this screen.
Your mobile number should contain numeric characters only in the following format: Country Code + Prefix/ area code + your number (e.g: 1-403-5556692)
