ANDREW PERLMAN
President and Director

Andrew Perlman is president of Vringo and has served on our board of directors since September 2009.

Mr. Perlman rejoined Vringo from EMI Music, where he served as vice president for digital business development, leading deals with partners such as Verizon, AT&T, Microsoft, Zed, and Grooveshark. In his new role, Perlman is responsible for managing company operations with a focus on content, marketing and product strategy.

Between July 2007 and February 2009, Mr. Perlman served as general manager for Vringo North America and senior vice president for content and community. He was responsible for Vringo's content and marketing operations in the Americas, and managed global content relationships and partnerships with online and mobile communities.

Prior to Vringo, he was senior vice president of global digital and music at the former Entertainment Rights, plc, which controlled more than 8,700 video titles and associated new-production and merchandising rights. Perlman was vice president of digital media at Classic Media until its acquisition by Entertainment Rights in January 2007. He created digital-licensed products and services for ER's brands, including He-Man, Godzilla, Transformers, Rocky and Bullwinkle, George of the Jungle, Casper the Friendly Ghost, VeggieTales and others, and created co-marketing campaigns with Alltel, Cingular and Sprint. Perlman drove deals with market leaders such as AOL, Joost!, Google Video, YouTube, MobiTV Infospace, Matertronic, Ignition Games and Genius Productions. He also led efforts spearheading digital anti-piracy efforts.

Prior to Classic, Mr. Perlman was general manager for the Rights Group, LLC, where he developed an early Britney Spears mobile fan club product and oversaw mobile-marketing campaigns for major international brands such as Visa and Pepsi. In this role, he developed and negotiated relationships with technology vendors such as Comverse, Mobile 365 and Mobliss.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the School of Business and Public Management at George Washington University.
