The firm provides merger and acquisition and financial advisory services to both public and private companies and is widely regarded as a thought leader in its areas of focus. Rutberg & Company also hosts the Rutberg & Company Wireless Influencers conference series, which is regarded as one of the industry's most important, invitation-only strategy events.

Previously, Rutberg was executive director and head of domestic Internet investment banking at UBS Warburg. Prior to UBS Warburg, he was a founding member of both the East Coast and European technology investment banking teams at Montgomery Securities.
