What is a Vringo Channel?
A Vringo Channel delivers a new video ringtone to your phone either once a day or once a week. In order to receive this video ringtone on your phone all you have to do is join the channel of your choice.

How do I join a channel?
If you are on your mobile phone, use your phone's browser to open the channel page vringo.com/channels. On the page you'll see a link that says "Download Vringo Here", click on this link and we'll direct you to the best Vringo experience for your phone. If you don't see a download link then we don't have a version of the Vringo application for your phone. However, you can still use Vringo to share and download video ringtones. If you are using your desktop computers' browser, please click the Join Now button. A box with two different options to install Vringo will open. On the left side we ask you to enter your mobile phone number and we'll send an install SMS directly to your phone. The other option is from your desk top computer is to download the application to your computer and then synch it with your phone. On the right side of the Join Now screen there are two drop down boxes. Select your phone manufacturer from the first drop-down list and your phone model from the second drop-down list. You'll be prompted to save the application to your desktop. You can then synch it to your phone using either a USB cable or blue tooth. If you don't see you phone model on the list then you should sign up in the left box and we'll send you a "getting started' SMS.

How can I tell whether my clip will change on a daily or weekly basis?
You can check the frequency that your clip will change by returning to www.vringo.com/channels, in the description for each channel we explain whether the channel you've chosen is Weekly, in which case you can expect your clip to change once a week; or Daily in which case you should expect you clip to change once a day.

Daily Channels:
• The Vringo Obama Channel
• The Vringo McCain Channel

Weekly Channels:
• The Vringo Chill Channel
• The Vringo Animation Channel

The frequency with which your clip will change is set by Vringo on our servers. Unfortunately, at this time, you cannot change how often your clip changes on a Vringo Channel. You can, however, always join a different channel or select a video ringtone from a category that isn't a channel to stop your clip changing.

What features does the Vringo Application offer me?
If your phone supports the Vringo application you'll be prompted to install it on your phone. The Vringo application is very small, it won't take up a lot of room on your phone and by installing it you'll get:

• A new video ringtone automatically delivered to your phone according to the frequency defined by the channel you joined.
• Your video rigtone will automatically play on your phone whenever it rings unless your phone is on silent or vibrate.
• The ability to search Vringo's extensive library of thousands of clips and change your video ringtone from your mobile device.
• The ability to share video ringtones with your friends when you receive calls from them.

What Vringo Features are available on my phone's mobile browser?
If your phone doesn't support the full version of Vringo you'll be able to:

• Watch the clips on that channel page and access more clips from the Vringo collection.
• Down load the video, or just the audio from this clip, save it to your phone's gallery and set it as your video ringtone, or your standard ringtone, using your phone's settings.
• Share the clip with your friends by sending it to them in an e-mail.

What kind of charges will I incur using Vringo?
Vringo video ringtones are completely free. So you can set, watch, share and enjoy any of our Video Ringtones, for free. Vringo does however use data. Please check with you carrier as to whether your current plan includes data. If you use your phone to browse the internet, receive e-mails, or for IM of any kind then you most likely have a data plan as part of your package with your carrier. The Vringo application uses approximately 9 MB of data a month for a daily channel and 1.5 MB of data a month for a weekly channel. If you are only using Vringo on your phone's mobile browser each clip uses approximately 250 KB. Your total data usage will vary depending on how often you connect and watch clips. Vringo, unlike other video ringtone companies, has no hidden clauses, charges or conditions and unless you have a data plan or unlimited data on your phone, we don't recommend you sign up for Vringo Channels.

Can I turn the channel off when I'm travelling?
If you're going on the road with your phone using the Vringo application and you don't want to incur roaming data charges, we recommend you change the synch mode on your phone to manual from within the Vringo application.
1. Go to the main Vringo menu and select Options.
2. Sync Options is the first choice.
3. Change your synch frequency to manual.
4. Go back to the main menu of the Vringo application and the display should now show Sync: Manual in small letters under the Vringo logo.

Have a safe journey and remember to change your synch mode back to daily when get back home to continue to enjoy your clip updates.

How do I unsubscribe from Vringo Channels?
To unsubscribe from the Vringo application you should:
1. Go to Find Vringo's from the Vringo Main Menu
2. Change your video ringtone to another clip from any other category.
You can even browse our collection and choose one of the video ringtones you enjoyed as your channel clip and make this your video ringtone. Don't worry, this won't reconnect you to the channel it will just set this clip as your current Vringo until you change it.
You can, of course, choose to join a different channel!

If you are using the Vringo application and you want to uninstall Vringo from your phone, go to the folder where the application is installed and remove it using the handset's software to remove applications.

Why does Vringo need my phone number?
Vringo uses your phone number to deliver the clip from the channel you've joined to your handset. We use it as your unique customer ID. In order to install Vringo on your phone you do need to provide a valid mobile phone number.

Will Vringo share my phone number, or any of my private information with anyone else?
Vringo treats all your personal information with the utmost of care. We will not share your phone number, or any other personal information you share with us, with any third party ever. Furthermore we protect your personal information as carefully as we protect our code.

How old do I have to be to join Vringo?
You have to be at least 13 to join Vringo at this time.
